Canada has expelled six top Indian diplomats over an investigation into the murder of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia in June.


In response, India has expelled six high-ranking Canadian diplomats and withdrawn its envoy from Canada, marking a significant deterioration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
